Ash recently worked with us to create a series of truly delightful cocktails, bringing out the best in La Fée Absinth Bohemian & NV Absinthe Verte. Using a diverse range of ingredients to compliment the bold flavours, these cocktails hugely impressed when we tasted them at the Sahara Bar.
Mon Petite Salut
40ml La Fée Absinth Bohemian
20ml Fresh Lemon Juice
20ml Vanilla Syrup
15ml Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
4 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
Shake all ingredients hard with ice until your shaker is nice and frosty, then strain into a chilled coupette, with a twist of fresh lemon zest to finish
Ash has a barrel aged a batch of this particular cocktail, which is proving very popular at Sahara Bar, Reading.
Going Underground
1 Egg White
40ml La Fée Absinth Bohemian
10ml Orgeat Syrup
2 dashes Bitter Truth Orange Bitters
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
SimpleSyrup to taste (optional)
Shake all ingredients hard with ice, then fine strain into a separate shaker, allowing you to shake again with no ice (dry shake) which gives the drink a wonderfully aerated consistency. Pour into a chilled Martini glass with an orange peel twist to garnish.
Romance is Back
30ml NV Absinthe Verte
20ml Chambord
25ml Apple Juice
20ml fresh Lime Juice
15ml Simple Syrup
2 dashes Fee Brothers Peach Bitters
Shake with ice as hard as you can then fine strain into a chilled Martini glass. Garnish with two blackberries on a cocktail stick.
A Modern Way
25ml NV Absinthe Verte
20ml Wild Turkey 101
15ml Lillet Rouge
4 dashes Angostura Bitters
10ml Raspberry/Pomegranate Tea Syrup
Shake all ingredients with ice and fine strain into a chilled coupette. Lemon twist to finish.
