Over the Labour Day weekend La Fée Absinthe sponsored the largest celebration of food in the USA Slow food Nation, giving over 10,000 people the chance to taste and experience the “Green Fairy” in a wonderful location overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge.

Many Pavilions

There was a wide range of Food and Drink on offer in the Slow Food Tasting Pavilion. Local Producers displayed and offered the public a taste of chutneys, preserves, bread, charcuterie, fish, ice cream, spirits, coffee, tea, wines and chocolate. Each pavilion was wonderfully designed from recycled materials allowing everyone to get together and enjoy sharing their experiences.

The Spirits Pavilion contained a range of wonderful spirits brands and top mixologists and was one of the most popular at the event. La Fée brand owner George Rowley and brand ambassador Dan Eves were present, serving La Fée in both the traditional serve and in the Sazerac, educating the public on the category and receiving a wonderful positive response from knowledgeable attendees.

After Party

After the Slow Food event La Fée teamed up with Rhum Clement Representative Jen Craig in order to set up an impromptu party on the straw bails outside the Tasting Pavilion. H. Joseph Ehrmann from Elixir was in charge of mixing the traditional serve for everyone using Agarve Nectar and a water bottle! This created a great spontaneous vibe and was a fantastic end to a successful weekend.
